This gate means many things. This gate is one the the religions that believe that Mt. Banahaw is a sacred place. In front of the gate are full of flags that represents anyone, any religion and even foreigners can enter. The gate itself represents the unity and serenity within the everyone. The swords above represents them for being nationalistic.




Alpha and Omega

This photo shows the ten commandments of God. They also call this "Alpha Omega". It shows that we are not the only ones that follow it and that even if there are many different beliefs in Mt. Banahaw, there is still the law of God.


Jove Rex-Al

Many of us say that this kind of image is an "Illuminati" or something that has to do with evil. But in Mt. Banahaw this image represents many good things. The people at Mt. Banahaw respect it for they say that in their beliefs this triangle with an eyes and wings represents the hope, modesty and etc.

Husgado Cave

This image shows the entrance to the famous cave named "Husgado". Many in Mt. Banahaw says that this cave can forgive all your sins in the past seven (7) years of your life. Also one of their beliefs says that if a person with a great number of sins enter and does not repent for what he/she have done inside the cave he/she will not be able to go out. And they say that, the more sins you have the path towards the exit of the cave gets narrower.

Cross

This is one of the cross at the top of the "Kalbaryo". This cross symbolizes salvation, faith and forgiveness. Many locals and even foreigners do the same of what Jesus did. Carrying the cross to the top of the kalbaryo bare footed and asking for forgiveness. 

Book of Life

The stone in where the students are writing the names of their loved ones using their fingers is the "Book of Life". It represents the book of St. Peter. One of the beliefs at Mt. Banahaw is that when your name was written in this book of life alive or dead, for sure you will enter in the kingdom of God.

Jordan River

 This river is called the "Jordan River" or "Ilog Jordan". Where Jesus Christ was baptized. This river said to symbolize cleansing. It is where you go first before you go inside the husgado cave. This river is said to clean you physically, emotionally and mentally. 

Group Reflection

Even if many people have different beliefs there is always that connects us and unity is formed. That is God, in every aspect of the places found in Mt. Banahaw, God's name will not be lost thus this make us united and have something in common and to respect with. Even in the amidst of many beleifs or any other things there is always a God for all of us.
